Travels with my Uncle

In 2004 Roxane was co-conductor of the world premier performance of Karl Jenkins’ ‘Travels with my Uncle’

This piece was commissioned by Aberystwyth based Centre for Performance Research, (funded in association with The Gulbenkian Foundation) and brought together community choirs from across the whole of Wales.

The choirs had rehearsals in the North, South and West of Wales but the final show was held in the stunning grounds of Atlantic College, Glamorgan.

During the show the audience themselves became the travellers, and were taken from place to place to hear the different choirs perform.

In the second half all the choirs and the audience ended up in the Great Hall for the culmination of the Project.
