Alfresco Singing

During 2020 the potential spread of the Corona Virus stopped most choirs from meeting. We decided to meet outdoors, stay socially distanced , and enjoy being close to nature and discovering beautiful places to sing. We sang among the thistles and cowpats and in car parks and in rain and shine. We managed 59 (yes FIFTY-NINE) outdoor sings right up to December 21st. There is a video here of some of the outdoor events in 2020.

 

We have been singing at Camp Plas in a beautifully situated, very open barn. (Hosted by the lovely Barney and Charlotte). With these events you can camp or bring campervan or be part of the whole event but stay elsewhere. Go here to watch a lovely video featuring Barney’s Barn

Here is the programme for 2023 It is a mouthwatering array of events that combine being in nature with the joy of singing in a great bunch of people.

NOV 25th Day Workshop in The Star of the Sea, in Borth, West Wales. 10.30-4. No need to book, just turn up. Cost is a sliding scale £20-40. Bring warm clothes! ( Off Borth High Street, take the turning for the Animalarium SY24 5JF)

DEC 2nd- 3rd Weekend Workshop with Roxane in Hereford. A weekend of singing in the beautiful buildings of the Steiner School in Hereford. There are great acousitics and some lovely spots around the flowform water feature and singing to the hills. contact merle to book hansenmerle13@gmail.com

SAT 23rd Dec. Solstice sing at Barney’s Barn, Welshpool, no booking required, just turn up with some wood for the fire and warm clothes! Stay overnight if you want!
