Harmonyjunky: Sing Away the Winter Blues January 2018 Oswestry

Sing Away the Winter Blues - January 2018….This event is in the past!! It was a wonderful day. Look out for next years event.

Please come and join us in ‘The Venue’ in Oswestry. We will gather on Sunday 28th January at 1.30 pm to cheer ourselves (and each other) up by singing, chatting, eating and drinking tea! (Other beverages will be available!)

The afternoon is going to be a ‘Big Sing’, with everyone singing together as part of a massed choir. We will all learn some splendid new songs in glorious 4 part harmony.

There will be 4 teachers, one for each part, Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass to help the songs come together without too much hard work for the singers.

Rosie McConnell runs 2 community choirs based in Llandrindod and Meifod. She is loads of fun and has a wonderful voice and teaching style.

She knows loads of wonderful songs and loves to share them.

Jamie Dawes runs singing groups in North Wales and is also a member of ‘The Spooky Men’s Chorale’.

He has great rhythm and funky moves!

Roxane Smith runs a plethora of singing groups in Shropshire and Wales.

She conducts the Sing for Water London Choir and loves bringing singing people together.

Rob Carney runs singing groups in Devon and teaches at the Rise Up Singing Camp. He composes fantastic songs and he performs with mesmerizing mastery.

He has a wonderful soulful voice and also plays a mean blues guitar.

"It was a wonderful day yesterday. From beginning to end you gave us a day of beautiful music and fun. With you we created something special and uplifting, and went home with light hearts and music in our heads.

You must get these messages of appreciation all the time, but I wanted to add mine to the pile. You have a unique gift of spreading happiness, much needed in this increasingly troubled world. Thank you so much."
